Taylor-Brown won silver 12 months ago, but managed to rise to the occasion this year and take gold. Finishing in a time of one hour 55 minutes 46 seconds.
She finished just 11 seconds ahead of competitor, and silver medallist, Katie Zaferes of America.
Her team-mate Jess Learmonth took bronze, finishing on minute 36 seconds behind Taylor-Brown.
However, Britain was less successful in the men’s event, won by Australia’s Jacob Birtwhistle who also claimed his first World Triathlon Series title.Embed from Getty Images
